Our online psychotherapy certificates allow you to focus your continuing education coursework and document your advanced study! They are built entirely from our online CE courses, may be started and completed at your convenience, and involve no additional fees or tests. Simply complete 48 CE credits with designated courses. All courses are available from anywhere, at any time. We currently offer a Certificate of Advanced Study in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
Simply accrue 48 continuing education credits in our psychoanalytic courses, including at least 3 of our core courses. Core courses include Classical Psychoanalytic Theory, Ego Psychology, Object Relations Theory, Personality Disorders from a Psychodynamic Perspective, and Psychodynamics of the Therapeutic Relationship. You may take courses in any order that you believe best fits your needs and pace yourself at your convenience. You may decide at any time–now or in the future–whether you wish to apply courses to earn a certificate–simply email us, without obligation, with your intention when you decide. We only require that you complete all courses for the certificate within a 3-year period, but you may proceed more quickly if you choose. Core courses are typically 8 hours long and presented in an audio format, accompanied by an online written manuscript. Electives range from 1 to 8 hours and may consist of audio courses, video courses, articles, books, or webinars. Course descriptions note whether an offering is introductory, intermediate, or advanced and whether it qualifies for the certificate program.
There is no additional fee for the certificate of advanced study. The cost of our certificate program is simply the cost of the courses you choose.
There are no additional tests required to earn a certificate of advanced study. Simply pass the multiple choice tests that accompany each individual course–these tests give you immediate feedback regarding the correct responses and may be taken up to three times until passing.

We will mail you a personalized certificate with seal to demonstrate your completion of the certificate of advanced study, and email you a photograph and scanned copy for your electronic records. Note that our courses and certificate programs are intended for those pursuing professional development and continuing education, and do not constitute degrees.
